Katy wanted her wedding dress from 1988 turned into something more modern, but didn’t know exactly what she wanted.
When she came in, I had a yard of ice blue silk duchess satin lying on my table and it caught Katy’s eye. We came up with the faux wrap top, and a silk organza overlay that would cover up the stains on the original dress, and give a fresh feel to the dress.
She had great memories of her wedding so she wanted to incorporate as much of the dress as possible. I ended up sewing a ribbon flower from the bodice into her lining so that she could keep her memories close.
She added on the matching clutch which was a joy to create.
Katy and her husband John have been married for 30 years and just renewed their vows in a gazebo chapel in Vegas. Their vows were heartfelt. It was beautiful to be part of Katy and John’s vow renewal.
Congratulations, you two! You are one of a kind!
