When you come in to the Curvy Custom Bride home studio, you’ll see dresses in progress on dress forms, fabric draping, sketches on the wall, and your designer, excited to get to know you, your style, and your venue, so she can be inspired to design a dress just for you.
The cost of your gown depends in large part on the cost of materials and the design itself. Custom wedding gowns at Curvy Custom Bride average about $2500 including all materials.
That’s for a dress that doesn’t exist anywhere else and is made to fit YOU and only YOU!
You are expected to come in with inspiration in hand. You’ll share what kind of style, silhouette, colors, venue, theme, and detailing you like, so that Leila can design a dress that matches your personality best.
The most flattering look is one that fits YOU.
Leila will show you color cards and talk you through silk fabrications, laces, belting, etc, to help your ideas become a tangible sketch.
Second: Fabric and lace sourcing begins together online, in the studio. Swatches are purchased for you and you’re asked to come in to decide, so the materials purchase can be made.
There is a normal evolution in any custom gown that is expected. Should the desired changes go beyond the expectation, a separate charge is added to your final bill, but nothing will be added without consulting with you first.
Third: Your bespoke gown takes around 3 fittings, including the initial mock-up. Each fitting lasts about an hour, allowing for your voice to be heard and any concerns addressed.
Thanks to the luxury of time, you truly have a say in every step of the process.
Final Fitting: Your final fitting takes place 2-3 weeks before your wedding date or your travel date (for destination brides). Accommodations can be made for out of town brides.
Pick-up: Week of the wedding. Final bill is due on or before pick-up.
Body shaming, food shaming, and gender shaming, among others, are not permitted in my studio.
