The Experience

How do you want to feel on your wedding day?

If you’re tired of wedding dress shopping because your size is hidden in the back of the shop, or you know that nothing ever fits and you have low expectations of ready made bridal gowns, or worse, you’ve already been shopping and had a hurtful, traumatic experience and never want to enter a bridal shop again, you’ve come to the right place.

What can you expect from a custom wedding dress consult?

If you’re considering getting your wedding gown custom made, I recommend you still go dress shopping. Trying on silhouettes you love and those you don’t, gives us a great place to start designing your gown.

The cost of your gown depends in large part on the cost of materials and the design itself. They start around $5000, not including fabric and materials. If you have a full vision for your entire bridal party, I recommend looking at the Custom Bridal Packages. I’m sure you have a lot of questions. Let me back up and break things down:

You are expected to come in with inspiration in hand. We’ll talk about what kind of style, silhouette you’re looking for, as well as your venue, bridal party colors, etc. The most flattering look is one that fits YOU.

Leila will show you color cards and talk you through silk fabrications, laces, belting, etc, to help your ideas become a tangible sketch.

Second: After Leila spends a couple of weeks sourcing materials and ordering swatches, you come back in to finalize your fabric choices.

There is a normal evolution in any custom gown that is expected. Should the desired changes go beyond the expectation, a separate charge is added to your final bill, but nothing will be added without consulting with you first.

Third: Your bespoke gown takes around 3-5 fittings, including the initial mock-up. Each fitting lasts about an hour, allowing for your voice to be heard and any concerns addressed.

Thanks to the luxury of time, you truly have a say in every step of the process.

Final Fitting: Your final fitting takes place 2-3 weeks before your wedding date or your travel date (for destination brides). Accommodations can be made for out of town brides.

Pick-up: Week of the wedding. Final bill is due on or before pick-up.

Body shaming, food shaming, and gender shaming, among others, are not permitted in my studio.
